Resource and Referral (R&R) Education & Resource Lending Library

Start: Sat, September 22, 9:00 am
End: Sat, May 18, 3:30 pm

Parents, child care providers, and the community are invited a use our free lending library service. Participants can check out up to five items per month from the lending library. Materials available for check out include educational toys and books. Participants can also request parenting information and community resources, and have access to lamination services. Appointments can be made to access the education and resource lending library during its hours of operation, Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and the following Saturdays between 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

The Social-Emotional Development of Young Children

A Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) Workshop: Presenters: Stephanie Castro and Lauren Ocampo

The purpose of this workshop is for providers to review and discuss the social-emotional milestones of infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. This workshop will offer opportunities for providers to discuss learning environments, the development of self in young children, and the importance of social interactions for children. Meet Your Local Child Care Licensing Advocate

A Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) Workshop: Presenter: Shoghig Khadarian

This workshop is intended for potential providers who want to receive information from Community Care Licensing (CCL). Licensing Advocate, Shoghig Khadarian, will review information on ratios in a Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and mandated reporting. There will also be an open forum for potential provider questions at the end of the presentation. Child care will not be provided.

The training will also explore ways participants can support ongoing learning by periodically updating the learning environment in their child care facility. No child care will be provided.
