Community Care Licensing Analyst for Family Child Care Providers

A Community Care Licensing Analyst will provide Family Child Care providers or anyone wanting more information on how to open a Family Child Care with any updates and reminders. There will also be a Question and Answer forum. Come prepared with any questions or concerns for your local licensing analyst to answer or clarify.
Supporting Early Literacy through Reading

Throughout this workshop, we will be discussing the advantages of an “early start” and the stages of literacy development for infants, toddlers, and preschool age children.

In this workshop, participants will learn different storytelling methods that can be used with children, for example: felt stories, puppets, flannel boards, songs, etc.

How do you keep a group of children 0 to 5 years old engaged and encourage them to participate? We will look at behavior, strategies, and transitions. Training will feature Talk, Read, and Sing handouts and highlight the Strengthening Families- 5 Protective Factors. This training will be facilitated by the Quality Counts (QRIS) Specialists.
Math Play Every Day – Supporting the Development of Mathematical Understanding in Young Children

Participants in this workshop will learn how to support their infant or toddler while they learn and develop math and reasoning skills. Participants will also learn how to support their preschool age child while he/she learns and practices math skills that develop an understanding of mathematical reasoning.
